Loose Scrap Metal is free.

- Co-Mingled Tin and plastic
- Tin cans, including lids
- Plastics -#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 & #7 bottles with necks, no tops.
- Aluminum plates and cans.
- Glass: Clear, Brown, Blue, Green
There is a separate barrel for returnable plastic and glass containers.
Battery disposal is free, but the following rules must be followed:
The following rechargeable batteries are recycled at the Transfer Station:
- Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd)
- Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
- Lithium Ion (Li-ion)
- Nickel Zinc (Ni-Zn)
- Small Sealed Lead (Pb) (Up to 11 lbs or 5 kg per battery)
There is a special box in the Swap Shed for these batteries. Ask the Transfer Station Attendent for assistance.
If you need to dispose of a lead-acid wet-cell battery, ask one of the TAM employees for assistance.
Alkaline, lithium, and other non-rechargeable batteries should be disposed of as normal trash.
