VEHICLES MUST CHECK WITH A TRANSFER STATION EMPLOYEE
WHEN DROPPING OFF ANY FOR-FEE ITEMS:

Town Revenue Items:   (Town employee will collect fees)

Access Permit:   $20.00 per sticker

Municipal Solid Waste Pay Fees:

Up to 12 pounds of trash$1.00 (1 sticker)
13 to 24 pounds of trash$2.00 (2 stickers)
25 to 36 pounds of trash$3.00 (3 stickers)
37 to 48 pounds of trash$4.00 (4 stickers)
    etc

Brush and Yard Waste: (equivalent to $5.00 per cubic yard)

Large bag of yard trimmings$0 (free)
Pickup truck (2 cubic yards)$10.00
One-ton truck (4 cubic yards)$20.00

Contractor Revenue Items:   (TAM employees will collect fees)

Bike, computer monitor, computer hard drive, printer, typewriter, VCR, DVD, TV, stereo equipment, speakers, microwave, vacuum, humidifier, sink, wading pool, toilet, door, throw rug (4’ x 6’)

$5.00 each

Appliances w/o Freon washer, dryer, stove, water tank, furniture, sofas, stuffed chairs, box spring, mattress, throw rug (6’ x 10’)

$10.00 each

Appliances w/ Freon (refrigerator, freezer, dehumidifier, air conditioner), throw rug (10’ x 12’)

Sofa beds (sleepers) with metal frame left attached to the sofa ($10 if metal frame is removed prior to disposal), throw rug (15’ x 15’)

There is an additional charge of $5 for tires with rims.

Loose Scrap Metal is free.

Free Recycling

There is a separate barrel for returnable plastic and glass containers.

Batteries

Battery disposal is free, but the following rules must be followed:

The following rechargeable batteries are recycled at the Transfer Station:

There is a special box in the Swap Shed for these batteries.  Ask the Transfer Station Attendent for assistance.

If you need to dispose of a lead-acid wet-cell battery, ask one of the TAM employees for assistance.

Alkaline, lithium, and other non-rechargeable batteries should be disposed of as normal trash.
