Mr. Bubriski called the meeting to order at 7:33pm.

New Business:

Application Number 03-_____, Lon & Ruth Wasco, Final Plat Review Boundary Relocation.

Mr. Wasco explained that Mr. Mance was unavailable this evening and distributed the site plan detailing this proposal, to provide additional frontage to the second lot of his subdivision.

Mr. Jakubowski reviewed the subdivision criteria as they relate to this application, noting the advantages: removes loss of use of land for neighbor, providing more usable land for owners, and it creates no impact on adjacent landowners. Mr. Jakubowski further noted that the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources Wastewater Management has approved this application citing permit(s): HE80438 and EC81172. This application is a boundary relocation to the original subdivision permit issued by the Town of Shaftsbury, Number: 02-0228.

With no further discussion, Mr. Jakubowski made a motion to close said hearing. Mr. Young seconded. Motion carried 4-0-0.

Mr. Serrao made a motion to approve this modification to the original subdivision permit as presented. Mr. Young seconded this motion. Motion carried 3-0-1(Bubriski).

Other Business:

Zoning Permit Application: The Shaftsbury Planning Commission provided final edits to the Zoning Permit Application.

Minutes of July 22nd, 2003:  Mr. Young made a motion to approve said minutes as presented. Mr. Serrao seconded this motion. Motion carried 3-0-1(Bubriski).

Zoning Administrator’s Report:  Mr. Zazzaro reported that Dennis McCarthy is currently completing the paperwork for the $15K municipal block grant to facilitate review of the Town Plan.

Mr. Zazzaro reported that he has issued a violation letter to Ed Legacy regarding the cars on said property and visited him twice regarding the sawmill operation. In addition, because Mr. Legacy is a tenant on this property, Mr. Zazzaro has contacted Brian Lent at Dailey’s Inc. to discuss this issue. Discussion ensued with regards to sending violation letters to landowners vs. tenants, for expedited compliance.

With no further business before the Commission, Mr. Serrao made a motion to adjourn at 8:05pm. Mr. Jakubowski seconded this motion. Motion carried unanimously.

Respectfully Submitted,

Cynthia Hamilton
