Free Metal Week, Free Tire Day and Household Hazardous Waste Day

Shaftsbury – The Town of Shaftsbury will be holding Free Metal Week, Free Tire Day and Household Hazardous Waste Day at the Town Transfer Station & Recycling Center at 526 North Road.

Shaftsbury, Pownal and Stamford  residents are invited to participate in Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday June 21st, 2008 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. No Latex paint will be accepted.

Also, we will be holding Free Metal Week on Tuesday June 17th, 2008, Thursday June 19^th, 2008 and Saturday June 21^st, 2008. Free Tire Day will be held on Saturday June 21st, 2008 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. We will be accepting only 4 tires without rims from per household.

Shaftsbury residents with current 2006-2007 landfill permits may participate in this free service.
