GREEN-UP DAY SCAVENGER HUNT

 

 

Shaftsbury, VT. - The Town of Shaftsbury invites you to help 'Green Up'

Shaftsbury's roadsides. Join the fun on Saturday, May 3rd at Cole Hall/Town Garage between 8:30 and 3:00 pm where you can exchange filled Green-Up bags for refreshments. Those lucky enough to find a strategically placed 'lady bug' underneath the litter they collect can redeem it for a prize!

 

Supplies of Green-Up bags will be available prior to Green-Up Day at the following locations: Whitman's Feed Store, Shaftsbury Country Store, Paulin's in Shaftsbury, Clear Brook Farm, the Town Office, and the Shaftsbury Landfill. Bags will also be available at Cole Hall on May 3rd.

 

Filled Green-Up bags can be left at the following locations: Shaftsbury's Town Garage, North Shaftsbury Fire Station (north side of station), East Road and Maple Hill Road, Buck Hill Road and East Road, Lamb Road and Mattison Road, West Mountain and Bennett Hill Roads, Mead Road, Bouplon Hollow Road, Murphy Hill Road (Bouplon's Corners), Shaftsbury Hollow Road and Granger Hollow Road. Participants may also bring recyclables to the Town Hall parking lot.
