MINUTES OF THE SHAFTSBURY SELECT BOARD

JANUARY 18, 2007

Board Present: Wynn Metcalfe, Chairman, Cinda Morse, Bill Pennebaker, Karen Mellinger, Jim Mead

Others Present: Aaron Chrostowsky (Town Administrator), Henrietta Billow (Town Treasurer),

 Angie Abbatello (Lister), Mike Gleason (Bennington Banner)

1.         Call Meeting to Order: 

Chairman Wynn Metcalfe called the meeting to order at 5:09 PM.

2.         Public Comments:

There were no public comments.

3.         Town Budget Approval.

Mr. Mead made a motion to approve the Town’s General Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 in the amount of $1,121,477. Mr. Pennebaker seconded.

4.         Town Report Petition.

Mr. Mead made a motion to not to place Mr. Colvin’s petition regarding Town Report distribution and content on the Annual Town Meeting Warning. Ms. Morse seconded.

5.         Other Business:

The meeting adjourned at 7:03 PM.
